We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reservations Manager to join our team at Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our hotel revenue generation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of our in-house reservations team, ensuring seamless guest experiences and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Reservations Management
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize reservations revenue and occupancy levels.
- Monitor and analyze reservations data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate rooming list data and group reservations.
- Guest Experience
- Oversee the management of guest inquiries and concerns related to reservations.
- Ensure prompt and professional communication with guests to resolve issues and provide exceptional service.
- Work closely with the front office team to ensure seamless guest check-in and check-out processes.
- Departmental Execution & Excellence
- Monitor and maintain compliance with reservation call quality standards.
- Oversee the accurate operation of the reservation system, including room inventory and reservations management.
- Communicate significant changes in daily arrivals and 10-day out forecasted occupancies to the operations team for schedule planning.
- Training & Development
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of reservations team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address gaps in knowledge and skills.
- Team Commitment & Collaboration
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and mutual respect.
- Encourage team members to share ideas and suggestions for improving guest experiences and revenue growth.
- Establish and maintain relationships with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- 3+ years of experience in reservations or front office management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in hotel reservation systems, third-party online platforms, and policy audits.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
