Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Electronic Systems Technician to join our team at Oshawa PUC Energy Services. As an integral member of our operations, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our electrical and electronic systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the construction and testing of prototypes to ensure they meet technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist in design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Prepare estimates, schedules, and reports to support project planning and execution.
  • Write detailed specifications for electrical and electronic components and systems.
  • Inspect, test, and adjust electrical and electronic components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Calibrate electrical and electronic equipment and instruments to maintain precision and accuracy.
  • Conduct safety training programs for colleagues and contractors.
  • Install, commission, and operate electrical and electronic equipment and systems, including performing preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Complete work orders and test and maintenance reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
  • Certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in electrical and electronics technology.
  • Proven experience working with electrical and electronic systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronics principles, including circuit analysis and wiring techniques.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with tight deadlines and a focus on attention to detail.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $50,000 and $65,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
