The Gananoque Inn & Spa is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet the dietary needs of our guests.
About The RoleThe successful candidate will have experience in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. You will work closely with our dietitian to ensure that all meals are prepared according to individual guest requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods that cater to specific dietary needs;
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, and equipment;
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on preparation, cooking, and handling of food;
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;
- Order supplies and equipment as needed;
- Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas;
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
- At least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Safe Food Handling certificate;
- Excellent oral communication skills;
- Flexibility, reliability, and strong organizational skills.
