About The Columbia Street Diner

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including meats, vegetables, and sides, to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
  • Food Safety: Ensure that all food is handled, stored, and cooked safely to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have everything we need to operate at peak levels.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including the cooking line, storage areas, and dishwashing area.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
