Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Challenger Motor Freight Inc. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective responses to customer inquiries regarding shipment status, bills of lading, and other related matters.
  • Inform customers of additional services available through Fastfrate or related businesses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer shipments and interactions.
  • Anticipate and address potential customer issues to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Coordinate special project PO pick and pack between customers and the dock.
  • Manage special project orders from execution to final delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for special project accounts.
  • Liaise with branch personnel regarding damaged/refused freight, packing slip details, contact information, POs, and other related matters.
  • Prepare and update reports for supervisors and sales representatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service or logistics experience in the transportation industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good problem resolution skills.
  • Good computer literacy, including MS Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to organize, schedule, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry is mandatory.
  • Bilingual: English/French.
