Senior Application Engineer Position in Windsor, Ontario

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Engineer to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. As a key member of the Sciemetric Installations Team, you will be responsible for deploying Sciemetric test systems at customer sites across North America and globally.

About the Role:
  • Program and configure application software to collect and process data from various instruments.
  • Apply filtering, smoothing, and statistical analysis techniques to identify key features in manufacturing processes.
  • Configure Sciemetric hardware to communicate with third-party devices using protocols like Profinet, Ethernet I/P, Modbus, and others.
Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement custom applications using proprietary software to acquire, process, and analyze data.
  2. Work independently and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
  3. Collaborate with sales teams to conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-principle studies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing test processes, data acquisition systems, or instrumentation.
  • Strong programming skills and ability to work with NI Labview, Morphee, Dewesoft, or similar data acquisition platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably in the automotive or medical devices industry.
  • Familiarity with EV battery manufacturing, NVH testing, leak testing, or signal processing.

Estimated salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
