Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Waterford Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes for our global automotive client.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement manufacturing processes and provide process layouts for the manufacturing facility.
* Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
* Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that manufacturing processes meet industry standards and product specifications.
* Collaborate with product development engineers to integrate new products into the manufacturing process.
* Provide technical support and training to production staff.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 10 years of proven shop floor/plant floor manufacturing engineering experience from within the automotive industry.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
* Experience with CAD software and proficiency in designing manufacturing layouts.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
