We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in Windsor, ON. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to leverage their expertise in equipment design, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
About the Role:This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes and equipment that meet customer specifications and ensure efficient production. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or plastic processing engineering and at least 3 years of experience in automotive injection molding, controls, and assembly-related equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Equipment Design and Development: Develop detailed RFQs for new equipment, including process flows and cycle times for each operation
- Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing efficiency and conduct problem-solving and corrective action to improve overall productivity
- Quality Control: Adhere to company standard equipment/tool specifications and ensure compliance with IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards
- Project Management: Commission manufacturing equipment from selection through to production phase, manage procurements, and oversee installation
- Education: Electrical, Mechanical, or Plastic Processing Engineering degree or equivalent combination of experience
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in automotive injection molding, controls, and assembly-related equipment
- Skillset: Strong knowledge of DOEs, problem-solving, and statistical methods; value analysis/value engineering planning and experience; fluent in English (German or Spanish is an asset)
