Ruminant Dairy Technical Specialist

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ruminant Dairy Technical Specialist to join our team in Ontario.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work directly with dairy producers to generate sales on dairy farms, achieving personal and farm goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing dairy sales strategies to drive sales in Southwestern Ontario.
- Providing regular market intelligence to the Ruminant Business Manager to maintain competitive advantage.
- Organizing dairy farm visits to evaluate and determine farm needs, and coordinating with our dairy nutritionist to build appropriate resources.
- Partnering with dairy farm managers to identify issues and create solutions to support farm goals.
- Promoting and educating customers/prospects on the benefits of using NLM products for dairy.
- Ration balancing using AMTS software program, while working collaboratively with a central nutrition team.
- Organizing dairy producer meetings and being actively involved at industry trade shows.
- Continuing education, attending conferences and/or professional development opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in the dairy industry.
- A valid Canadian driver's licence in good standing authorizing independent driving during employment.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Feed Industry.
- Knowledge in small ruminants is considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of the Canadian quota system, including rules and regulations within Ontario/P5.
- Personable with the ability to communicate well with people of diverse backgrounds and levels of authority.
