About the Role

Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ruminant Nutritionist to join our team in Southwestern Ontario. As a key member of our New-Life Mills division, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting feed formulations for dairy, beef, and small ruminants across our Ontario and Western Canada operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement ruminant feed formulations that meet the performance expectations of our customers, health, welfare, and economic requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance & Quality Control Team, Procurement Team, and Mill Operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize ration balancing software to adjust and build feeding programs that meet customer needs.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to provide technical support and develop marketing materials.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in ruminant nutrition and feed formulation.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Animal Science or a related field.
  • Experience in ruminant nutrition and feed formulation, preferably in a feed manufacturing or animal nutrition company.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret lab data and nutrient profiles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
