About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ruminant Dairy Technical Specialist to join our team at Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in the dairy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth in the dairy industry.
  • Provide market intelligence to the Ruminant Business Manager to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Organize dairy farm visits to evaluate and determine farm needs, and coordinate with our dairy nutritionist to build appropriate resources.
  • Partner with dairy farm managers to identify issues and create solutions to support farm goals.
  • Promote and educate customers/prospects on the benefits of using NLM products for dairy.
  • Ration balancing using AMTS software program, while working collaboratively with a central nutrition team.
  • Organize dairy producer meetings and participate in industry trade shows.
  • Continuing education, attending conferences and/or professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the dairy industry.
  • Possess a valid Canadian driver's license in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during your employment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Feed Industry.
  • Knowledge in small ruminants is considered an asset.
  • Solid understanding of the Canadian quota system, including rules and regulations within Ontario/P5.
  • Personable with the ability to communicate well with people of diverse backgrounds and levels of authority.
