Indigenous Cultural Safety Practice Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indigenous Cultural Safety Practice Lead to join our team at Interior Health Authority. This is a permanent full-time position that will play a critical role in advancing our organization's commitment to Indigenous cultural safety and humility.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to promote Indigenous cultural safety and humility across our organization.
- Lead the development of programs and services that support the health and well-being of Indigenous peoples.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Indigenous community partners, health leaders, and other stakeholders to advance our organization's goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to our team on Indigenous cultural safety and humility practices and policies.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless integration of Indigenous cultural safety and humility initiatives across our organization.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Indigenous studies, health sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare or Indigenous organization.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic initiatives and programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
