Learning Strategist Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Strategist Instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a key member of our Learning Services department, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective learning strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- Provide individualized support to students, including online and face-to-face tutoring, to help them overcome academic challenges.
- Collaborate with faculty to design and deliver curriculum for tutor training and other academic support programs.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and coaching of tutors and other support staff.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and policies to ensure the delivery of high-quality academic support services.
- Represent Learning Services on relevant committees and working groups to promote the interests of students and the department.
- Bachelor of Education (English Major) or equivalent combination of education and training in a field related to English and education.
- Two years' recent and relevant experience in remedial teaching in English.
- Demonstrated ability to support students in an online environment, including adapting and modifying online content to enhance student outcomes.
- Training and/or experience in the use of common software packages, such as MS Office Suite.
- Ability to effectively provide adult education and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of students.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal social, economic, and cultural challenges in Saskatchewan and the relationship of these challenges to the support of Aboriginal students.
- Ability to value diversity and promote inclusivity in all aspects of academic support services.
