We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Strategist Instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students, as well as developing and implementing effective learning strategies to enhance student success.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students in developing effective learning strategies and skills to achieve academic success.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including tutoring and academic coaching.
- Develop and implement learning programs and resources to support student success.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to design and deliver academic support services.
- Stay current with academic program requirements and teaching and learning developments at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
- Develop and maintain learning resources and materials to support student learning.
- Bachelor of Education (English Major) or equivalent combination of education and training.
- Two years' recent and relevant experience in remedial teaching in English.
- Demonstrated ability to support students in an online environment.
- Training and/or experience in the use of common software packages.
- Ability to effectively provide adult education and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal social, economic, and cultural challenges in Saskatchewan and the relationship of these challenges to the support of Aboriginal students.
- Demonstrates valuing diversity.
