Learning Services Instructor Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Casual Instructor Aide at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a Casual Instructor Aide, you will provide one-to-one or group support to students through various tutoring modes, including online, drop-in, appointment-based, or workshop settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general tutoring support to students in specific content areas, utilizing your expertise and knowledge to facilitate learning.
- Assist students with learning success skills and strategies in the online or face-to-face environment, promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Identify and share study resources with students to support their individual learning habits and improve their academic performance.
- Maintain accurate records and provide support to Learning Services instructors as directed.
- Work collaboratively with the Learning Services team and program instructors to meet course expectations and accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to stay current with employer and educational requirements.
- Adhere to Saskatchewan Polytechnic's regulations and policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in subject-specific content areas and online tutoring.
- Minimum of 6 months' experience in the last 2 years as a tutor in an online learning environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
- Demonstrated competence in the use of technology, including the internet, email, and MS Office Suite software.
- Ability to value and respect diversity.
