Learning Strategist Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Strategist Instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to students, as well as developing and implementing effective learning strategies to enhance student success.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students in developing effective learning strategies and skills to achieve academic success.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including academic advising and tutoring.
- Develop and implement learning programs and services to meet the needs of students.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to design and deliver curriculum and programs that support student learning and success.
- Stay current with academic program requirements and teaching and learning developments at Saskatchewan Polytechnic to ensure responsive and effective programming.
- Bachelor of Education (English Major) and/or Social Sciences Major or an equivalent combination of education and training in a field related to English, Math, Science, and education.
- Two years' recent and relevant experience in remedial teaching in English.
- Demonstrated ability to support students in an online environment, including making adaptations/modifications to online content to enhance student outcomes.
- Training and/or experience at the introductory level in the use of common software packages, i.e. MS Office Suite.
- Ability to effectively provide adult education.
- Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of students.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal social, economic, and cultural challenges in Saskatchewan and the relationship of these challenges to the support of Aboriginal students.
- Demonstrates valuing diversity.
