Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team at Hearthstone Inn - Port Hawkesbury. As a Front Desk Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account the specific needs of each group.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as necessary.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services to guests, including dining options, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly and efficiently around the hotel.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull carts and equipment as needed.
