About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled ADHD Clinic Nurse to join their team at Vancouver General Hospital. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the successful candidate will conduct comprehensive intake assessments, provide crisis intervention, and independently conduct psychotherapy/group/family sessions for clients/families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health assessments and provide treatment planning and crisis intervention.
  • Provide information to internal/external sources based upon specialized ADHD theory/practice.
  • Review literature, analyze trends, and recommend changes to modify/change current nursing standards.
  • Collaborate with the physician and other healthcare staff to provide comprehensive care.

About the Team

The Regional Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Clinic is dedicated to serving adults living with ADHD in the Vancouver Coastal Health region. Our team follows best practice guidelines to provide eligible clients timely access to virtual and in-person services, including evidence-based ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Three years' recent related ADHD experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is also required.
