Job Overview

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled ADHD Clinic Nurse to join our team at Vancouver General Hospital in Vancouver, BC.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between CAD $41.42/Hr. and CAD $55.91/Hr., with comprehensive health benefits package including MSP, extended health and dental, and municipal pension plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments as part of an interdisciplinary team, identifying client needs and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and psychotherapy/group/family sessions for clients and families, promoting effective communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Review literature and analyze trends to inform nursing standards and practices, ensuring evidence-based care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, sharing specialized ADHD knowledge and expertise.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Three years' recent related ADHD experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client- and family-centered care model.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety and provide culturally sensitive care in diverse settings.
  • Basic computer literacy to operate a computerized client care information system and word processing, spreadsheet, Internet, and e-mail software.
