Job Title: ADHD Clinic Nurse
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive intake assessments, providing crisis intervention, and conducting psychotherapy/group/family sessions for clients/families. The ideal candidate will have three years' recent related ADHD experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client and family-centered care model
- Broad knowledge of BCCNM standards for nursing/psychiatric nursing practice
- Demonstrated knowledge of mental illness and treatment
- Demonstrated knowledge of substance use and addictions treatment
- Demonstrated knowledge of ADHD symptoms and experience working with individuals with ADHD
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychopharmacology (indications and side-effects)
- Demonstrated knowledge of counseling skills and group facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety
- Demonstrated ability to provide competent and culturally safe care in a variety of settings and with diverse populations
- Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessments, and provide treatment planning and crisis intervention
Estimated Salary Range:
The estimated salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr., based on the location and industry standards.
