About the Role:
Island Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Mentor to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our nursing staff, providing guidance and expertise to ensure exceptional client care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical mentorship and practice support to nursing staff
- Utilize your experience and clinical skills to advise and support nursing staff in their practice
- Collaborate with nurse educators to develop and implement clinical practice initiatives
- Support the development of nursing staff through training and development programs
Requirements:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
- Three years of recent, related nursing experience in the designated clinical practice area, including experience mentoring nursing staff and leadership training
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle may be required
