Job Overview:
A dynamic Human Resources Coordinator is required to join our team at Spark Rehabilitation Services. Reporting directly to the Owner and Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's success by strategically managing and developing our human capital.

About the Role:
This multi-disciplinary rehabilitation company seeks an HR leader with strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices. As an integral part of our team, you will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. You will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate policies, activities, and ensure legal compliance and implementation of our mission and talent strategy.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Lead talent acquisition efforts, including recruiting, selecting, and onboarding new team members.
  2. Develop, communicate, and administer HR policies and procedures that maintain and improve employee relations and shape our organizational culture.
  3. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for all team members through collaboration and communication with department heads.
  4. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  5. Drive organizational development initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  6. Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and implement relevant programs.
  7. Assist with discipline and termination of team members in accordance with company policies.
  8. Oversee management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and professional development plans and carry them out in a timely manner.
  9. Create and oversee KPA and KPI systems.

Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure completion of accurate and timely payroll processing.
  2. Find solutions to discrepancies and create processes for smooth operations.
  3. Collaborate with other department heads and leadership to ensure seamless interdisciplinary communication and coordination.
  4. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
  5. Work with marketing and social media team members for job postings.
  6. Complete other HR tasks assigned by other department heads.
  7. Lead and ensure completion of department tasks and coverage.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  2. Chartered Human Resources Professional of Canada (CHRP)
  3. Proven experience as an HR leader in a multi-disciplinary or healthcare setting.
  4. Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR teams.
  7. Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals.
  8. Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
  9. Proficient in HRIS and other relevant software.

Working Conditions:
  • This is a full-time position based at our Sault Ste. Marie Office
  • Often sitting and repetitive tasks
  • The HR may be required to work outside regular office hours and travel occasionally for business-related meetings and industry events.

Compensation:
The salary for this position is $60,000 per year, based on experience.
