At Scotiabank, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team.

This is a full-time opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Financial Consultants and Portfolio Managers, including preparing client documentation, correspondence, and transaction requests.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring timely follow-up on inquiries, complaints, and problem resolution.
  • Establish and maintain a plan to ensure all existing clients are contacted regularly and paperwork required for meetings is prepared in advance.
  • Process documentation related to new accounts and trade requests, confirming regulatory requirements are met.
  • Identify opportunities to anticipate client needs and partner with other lines of business to arrange mutually beneficial client contact strategies.
Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree in business, commerce, or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience in an administrative or clerical position, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative, including completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of CRM2.
