Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Financial Services Advisor to join our team at our West Richmond Branch. As a Financial Services Advisor, you will be responsible for providing personalized financial advice and services to our members, helping them achieve their financial goals and build strong relationships with our credit union.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality financial advice and services to members, identifying their financial needs and promoting personal banking solutions.
- Maintain and grow member portfolios by analyzing needs and referring members to business partners as appropriate.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase product and service penetration per member.
- Conduct interviews with members to identify lending needs, collect and compile information, and make recommendations based on established lending principles.
- Sell, prepare, and process deposit/investment products and services, including term deposits, RRSPs, RRIFs, RESPs, and related transactions.
- Resolve problems with member accounts and deposit instruments, using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions.
- Review reports to identify variances and required action, referring problem areas to management for resolution.
- Compose routine member correspondence and make outbound calls for mortgage and deposit product renewals, as well as marketing campaigns.
- Minimum years of job-related experience.
- Back to Basics - Lending Program.
- Financial Planning I to be completed within months of start date.
- A degree in Business Administration or related area is preferred.
- CUIC: Consumer & Residential Mortgage Lending is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese will be a definite asset.
