Job Summary

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Companion Caregiver. As a Companion Caregiver, you will provide companionship and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and live safely in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care, to ensure clients' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Provide respite care for clients, allowing their primary caregivers to take a break and recharge.
  • Maintain awareness of clients' abilities, medical conditions, and personal preferences to provide tailored support.
  • Travel within assigned regions to provide care to clients in their homes or facilities.

Requirements

  • Compassionate and empathetic individual with a passion for helping others.
  • Ability to interact with clients and their families in a caring, courteous, and tactful manner.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is considered an asset (Cantonese and Tamil).
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employment.
