About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Companion Caregiver at Spectrum Health Care. As a Companion Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their daily needs, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal care, to ensure clients' comfort and well-being.
  • Provide respite care for clients, allowing their primary caregivers to take a break and recharge.
  • Maintain awareness of clients' medical conditions, dietary needs, and personal preferences to provide tailored support.
  • Travel within assigned regions to provide care to clients in their homes or facilities.

Requirements

  • Compassionate and empathetic individual with a passion for helping others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of clients.
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employment.
