About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Caregiver to join our team at Hamilton High Street Residence Inc. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their personal hygiene needs are met.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring residents' safety.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Household Management: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Errands and Transportation: Accompany residents on outings, assist with grocery shopping, and provide transportation to appointments as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a care-related role is an asset, but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a patient and empathetic approach to care.
