About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion Caregiver to join our team at Hamilton High Street Residence Inc. As a Companion Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and hydration.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, engaging residents in activities and conversations.
  • Assist with medication administration, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring residents have access to essential items.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move with ease, performing tasks that require physical stamina.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to providing exceptional care.
