About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion to join our team at Hamilton High Street Residence Inc. As a Companion, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring residents receive the necessary care.
  • Companionship: Engage in activities and conversations with residents, providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Household Management: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Errands and Transportation: Accompany residents on outings, shop for groceries and essentials, and provide transportation as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is an asset.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and a compassionate attitude towards residents.
