About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion to join our team at Hamilton High Street Residence Inc. As a Companion, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring residents receive the necessary care.
  • Household Management: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Companionship: Engage in activities and conversations with residents, providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering residents' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist residents with grocery shopping and other errands, ensuring they have access to essential items.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, with regular breaks to maintain physical comfort.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents with care, as needed.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, patience, and honesty.
