The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Client Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for conducting database searches, preparing reports, and communicating with patent agents, lawyers, and assistants.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Conflict checking: Conducting database searches for new clients and matters, preparing and reporting findings to initiating lawyer/patent agent, sending firm-wide email listing all new conflict inquiries
  • Review engagement letters for compliance with firm policies
  • Open new clients and matters, ensuring firm and Law Society requirements are met
  • Cross-training functions within department
  • Liaise with patent agents, lawyers, and assistants
  • Produce high-quality work
  • Accountable for all work assigned
  • Takes initiative
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a conflict administrator, legal assistant, or law clerk
  • Previous administrative work experience relating to patent, accounting, and/or billing functions is an asset
  • Experience in a legal or professional services setting is strongly preferred
  • Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
Skills:
  • Microsoft suite of applications
  • Experience with Aderant or Elite accounting software is preferred
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized
  • Detailed
Compensation:$55,000 - $65,000 per year

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
