Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our Primary Care team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively to develop and implement plans of care for patients, providing expert nutrition advice and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide expert nutrition advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
  • Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
  • Two years of clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
  • Practice-specific requirements and experience in programs such as Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience, with ability to teach clients and others both one-on-one and in groups.
  • Knowledge of best practices and current research evidence in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
