Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our Primary Care team at Northern Health. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively to develop and implement plans of care for patients, providing expert nutrition advice and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for patients, incorporating evidence-based nutrition practices and principles.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care, including assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on nutrition-related topics, promoting healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in nutrition care.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
  • Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
  • Two years of clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
  • Practice-specific requirements and experience in programs such as Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
