We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our Primary Care team at Northern Health Authority. As a Dietitian II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nutrition services to our patients and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement nutrition plans for patients with various health conditions, including diabetes, kidney disease, and chronic diseases.
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and families.
- Conduct clinical assessments, provide education, and recommend interventions to promote healthy eating habits and disease management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to nutrition services.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other healthcare professionals on nutrition-related topics.
- Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
- Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
- Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
- Two years of clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- Practice-specific requirements and experience in programs such as diabetes education, nutrition support, and kidney and chronic disease management programs.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
- Experience working in a primary care setting.
- Knowledge of population health and health promotion principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
