Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our Primary Care team in Smithers. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively to develop and implement plans of care for patients, providing expert nutrition advice and support.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your knowledge and skills to a dynamic and growing healthcare organization. As a Primary Care Dietitian, you will work in a person-centered model of care, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement plans of care for patients, including nutrition assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up care
  • Provide expert nutrition advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to achieve optimal health outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics
  • Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility)
  • Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia
  • Two years of clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare environment (or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience)
  • Practice-specific requirements and experience in programs such as Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs
  • Valid BC Driver's License
