We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our Primary Care team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively to develop and implement patient-centered care plans, providing expert nutrition advice and support to individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive nutrition care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Provide expert nutrition advice and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Conduct clinical assessments and evaluations to identify nutrition-related needs and develop targeted interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement evidence-based nutrition programs and services
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics
- Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility)
- Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia
- Two years of clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
- Practice-specific requirements and experience in programs such as Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs
- Valid BC Driver's License
- Teaching experience and ability to educate clients and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of current research evidence and best practices in nutrition care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
