The City of Edmonton is seeking a highly skilled Facility Partnerships and Event Liaison to join their team. As a key member of the community engagement department, this role will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and internal teams.

About the Role

This permanent, full-time position involves managing facility partnerships, coordinating events, and supporting facility operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports or recreation, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

">
  • Manage facility partnerships, including operational coordination with partners such as the Alberta Velodrome Association (AVA) and World Triathlon Series Edmonton (WTSE)
  • Coordinate events, including planning, preparation, implementation, and debriefing
  • Support facility operations, including evening and weekend hours as required
  • Liaise with AVA and WTSE, Civic Events, and Explore Edmonton on event strategies for the facility
  • Manage facility details that create a ready and welcoming environment for recreation and leisure programming

Requirements

">
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Recreation Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in working with partners ideally in the field of sports or recreation
  • Experience engaging, communicating, influencing, and collaborating with partners, external stakeholders, and internal staff at all levels
  • Experience working with sport organizations in the area of partnerships, operations, facility development, and agreement management

Working Conditions

  • This position requires the staff to work on-site, with regular evening and weekend hours
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or provincial equivalent) is required
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C is a requirement of this position

Compensation and Benefits

">

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The City of Edmonton offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
