The Canadian Paralympic Committee is seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to support the Director, Finance, Risk & Operations in financial management, reporting, and analysis. This role will also provide secondary support to the Paralympic Foundation of Canada for business continuity.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration and 3-5 years of accounting experience. They will be pursuing their CPA designation and have advanced skills in Excel, Smartsheet, and Microsoft tools. Expertise with Microsoft Business Central and significant experience with nonprofit accounting, including fund and grant accounting, and compliance, are also required.

The Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining and recommending account structures, managing the monthly closing process, preparing year-end audit working papers, and assisting with the annual audit. They will also prepare budget templates, process accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank accounts.

The successful candidate will be a team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage confidential data.

This is a full-time position based in Ottawa, with hybrid work arrangements (2-3 times per week). The position may require overnight travel to sites within Canada, and the ability to work evenings and weekends during busy periods is essential.
