Job Overview

Are you looking to launch a career in business and sales? The Sales Development Program at EMCO Corporation is a full-time entry-level position that offers a comprehensive training program to help you succeed in your career.

Program Overview

The Sales Development Program is a 5-phase program that covers every aspect of our business, from shipping and receiving to sales, operations, purchasing, and account management. You will learn hands-on and receive guidance, mentoring, and support to help you grow and develop in your career.

Phase 1: Warehouse Logistics

In this phase, you will learn about our products, how they get from the vendor to the customer, and understand all levels of sales support. You will gain a solid understanding of our business operations and develop the skills to work effectively in a warehouse environment.

Phase 2: Counter Sales

In this phase, you will gain experience in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, and financial statements. You will develop the skills to work effectively in a fast-paced sales environment and provide excellent customer service.

Phase 3: Inside Sales

In this phase, you will learn how to process orders for our customers from start to finish, including providing timely quotes, sourcing material, ensuring delivery, and following up. You will develop the skills to work effectively in an inside sales environment and build strong relationships with customers.

Phase 4: Outside Sales/Account Management

In this phase, you will learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships. You will develop the skills to work effectively in an outside sales environment and drive business growth.

Phase 5: Career Development

In this final phase, you will take all of your training and determine your ideal career path. You will work with our team to develop a career plan that aligns with your goals and aspirations.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
  • Sales background preferred
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with clean abstract
