Experiential Learning and Career Development Specialist

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Experiential Partnerships Specialist to join our team at Khoury College. As a key member of our Experiential Learning and Career Development team, you will play a critical role in creating and implementing opportunities for students to gain practical, career-relevant experiences that supplement their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement large-scale, complex programs that provide students with career-building opportunities, including internships, co-ops, projects, events, hackathons, volunteer or service-learning opportunities, and company visits.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute experiential learning initiatives that align with the college's strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regional employers to identify career opportunities and provide students with access to industry connections.
- Conduct research on industry hiring and employment trends relevant to the college's degree programs and provide insights to inform experiential learning initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to help students develop the soft and hard skills needed to succeed in their careers.
- Manage and maintain databases and records related to experiential learning initiatives and student career development.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience supporting career development at a higher education institution or job-focused training program.
- Experience designing and running large-scale, complex programs, both independently and in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, alumni, and external partners.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to wear multiple hats and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent skills in relationship building, event planning, marketing, public relations, and database management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the technology education/life sciences space.
- Understanding of industry hiring and employment trends relevant to the college's degree programs.
- Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
