Placement Coordinator
The Office of Experiential Education (OEE) plays a pivotal role in the orchestration and management of varied experiential learning opportunities for students enrolled in diverse programs. Acting as the central hub for all experiential education initiatives, the OEE extends support to pharmacist preceptors across various practice environments.
This period marks a significant transformation for the OEE as the Faculty is embarking on a comprehensive curriculum overhaul for its flagship undergraduate program, which will influence the framework and execution of experiential programming, including rotation durations and the sequence of the matching process. The successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate with faculty and staff to contribute insights on these experiential modifications and witness their implementation.
Under the guidance of the Director of the Office of Experiential Education (OEE), you will ensure the effective placement of students from various programs. Serving as the primary contact for a designated group of incoming Pharmacy students, this position will equip students with essential knowledge regarding the non-academic facets of experiential programs. As a student-focused professional, the Placement Coordinator will assist students through various communication channels, including in-person interactions, written materials, and information sessions, by providing clarity on placement site prerequisites and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring student placement documentation to guarantee thoroughness.
This role necessitates close collaboration with staff and faculty to address challenges during experiential rotations while fostering and sustaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. As an integral member of the Office of Experiential Education (OEE), you will engage with preceptors and industry partners to enhance the experiential process by identifying, nurturing, and maintaining connections with prospective and current employers.
