Law School Career Development and Experiential Education Leader

York University's Osgoode Hall Law School is dedicated to providing its students with exceptional career development and counseling services to ensure their success in the competitive legal field.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Experiential Education and Career Development to lead and manage our esteemed Career Development Office and Office of Experiential Education. This role is integral to our commitment to providing students with the skills and resources they need to thrive in their legal careers.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and deliver high-quality career development programs, job search support, and experiential education opportunities for Osgoode Hall Law School students and alumni.
- Lead a team of professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive career guidance and resources.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with legal employers across various sectors, including private law firms, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and legal technology companies.
- Assess current and emerging experiential education opportunities and develop strategic plans for their implementation.
- Oversee the management of practicum requirements and ensure alignment with academic objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in career development and legal education.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Law or Juris Doctor Degree.
- Membership in good standing with a provincial law society.
- 3+ years of management experience in a complex academic setting.
- Proven experience facilitating the introduction, management, and evaluation of experiential education programs.
- Extensive knowledge of the legal profession and professional considerations relevant to legal professionals and students.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
