Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team at Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms, process group arrivals and departures, and take, cancel, and change room reservations.
  • Front Desk Operations: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, provide general information about points of interest in the area, exchange foreign currency, and process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying.
  • Communication: Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages, and assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide customer service and contact customers to deliver requested wake-up calls.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Environment: Staff accommodation available.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
