About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Supervisor to join our team at Youth Empowerment & Support Services. As a Program Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team of staff, providing support and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of staff, promoting effective communication, adequate resources, performance reviews, education, and ongoing supervision.
  • Staff Development: Participate in the recruitment, selection, and orientation of new team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Client Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Safe Environment: Ensure a safe and supportive environment within the Centre, adhering to trauma-informed care principles.
  • Documentation: Provide support and feedback to staff on required documentation, monthly summaries, and critical incident reports.
  • Information Management: Ensure access to and disclosure of information and records are in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Training and Development: Ensure staff are adequately trained in safety practices, building inspections, supervision, and other essential skills.
  • Support and Consultation: Provide support and consultation to the scheduling and after-hours On-Call team as required.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Proven ability to build good relationships, work with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge and Skills: A Certificate, Degree, or Diploma in Child & Youth Care or a related Human Services field, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience working directly with high-risk and at-risk youth.
  • Training and Certification: Training in first aid, mental health first aid, non-violent crisis intervention, suicide intervention, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and person-centered planning, as well as a valid class 5 driver's license and driver's abstract.
