Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Program Supervisor to join our team at World of Joy Child Care Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care and education to children.
  • Child Development: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Leadership: Lead activities, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings, to promote learning and development.
  • Logistics: Order supplies and equipment, and assist in maintaining records and reports.
  • Communication: Engage with children, parents, and staff to ensure open communication and collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and address potential learning or behavioral problems, and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3) or equivalent.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, judgement, team player, creativity, and ability to multitask.
Working Conditions
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 32-40 hours per week.
