As an Early Childhood Supervisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care and education to children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and other relevant information.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage supplies and equipment to ensure a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Behavioral Guidelines: Establish and enforce guidelines for behavior, promoting a positive and respectful environment for children and staff.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Activity Planning: Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours, ensuring a fun and engaging experience.
  • Team Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
