The Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Program Supervisor for our TFC Team (Therapeutic Foster Care) in Edmonton, AB. This role reports to the Senior Program Supervisor, while managing responsibilities focused on supportive care and engagement with our clients. Taking pride in supporting families from all backgrounds throughout the intake process through to discharge. This role embodies time management, exceptional organization, and knowledgeable about behavioural care and disability services in a residential setting.

Treat others with the respect and kindness you would wish for yourself, maintain a calm demeanour in times of crisis, and excel in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to remain composed and effective under pressure will be crucial. Utilize your deep knowledge of trauma-informed practices and continuous quality improvement models to guide and support your direct reports effectively.

The Program Supervisor will oversee CarePros' front-line service providers, ensuring that the services delivered are not only in line with CarePros policies and industry standards but also meet the needs of our clients and their families in a compassionate and respectful manner.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Able to comprehend instructions and communicate in a clear and logical manner
  • Effective team player who will work closely and support our client and internal/external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data and analysis
  • Experience working with clients in Children's Services contracts

Supervision and Management:

  • Oversee the responsibilities and duties of their team
  • Coordinating with administration within various program services

Team Training and Development:

  • Manage regular performance coaching and one-to-one meetings for growth and support for their team
  • Oversee and manage the accuracy of their teams training and skills for compliance
  • Distribute data reports to various internal/external stakeholders

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Develop and implement service process improvements to increase quality of client care provided
  • Coach the team and respond when necessary to crisis situations using trauma informed de-escalation techniques
  • Manage safety plans

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexible to participate in our "On-Call Rotation" as needed
  • 5+ years' experience supervising or managing front-line care staff
  • 5+ years' experience working with Children's Service, Family Support for Children with Disability
  • 3-5 years of experience with providing care for others with developmental disabilities &/or mental health concerns
  • Post-secondary education (Social Work, Community Addictions / Mental Health, Child and Youth Care) or another related field
  • Standard First Aid with CPR Level C (Canadian provider in person or blended in person/online)
  • Alberta Class 5 Driver's License, $2 million Vehicle liability coverage and a clear 10-year Alberta Driver's Abstract
  • Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained in the last three (3) months
  • Clear Child Intervention Record Check obtained from Children Services obtained in the last three (3) months
