Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Services Manager to join our team at Liberty Tax Service. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage administrative procedures and staff.

Responsibilities

The Administrative Services Manager will be responsible for:

  • Implementing new administrative procedures and policies to improve efficiency and productivity;
  • Reviewing and evaluating existing administrative procedures to identify areas for improvement;
  • Delegating work to office support staff and providing guidance and training as needed;
  • Establishing work priorities and ensuring that procedures are followed and deadlines are met;
  • Carrying out administrative activities related to establishment operations;
  • Administering policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation;
  • Coordinating and planning for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services;
  • Assisting in the preparation of operating budgets and maintaining inventory and budgetary controls;
  • Assembling data and preparing periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence;
  • Performing data entry tasks;
  • Training staff on administrative procedures and policies;
  • Oversight and coordination of office administrative procedures;
  • Monitoring and evaluating administrative processes and staff performance;
  • Oversight of payroll administration;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • At least one year of experience in an administrative capacity;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
