Job Summary:
The MS Engineer 3rd Level Technical Support role is a critical position in our Operations division, responsible for addressing escalated customer issues and providing technical expertise in server, networking, and security services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 3rd level technical support to resolve complex problems on internal and customer systems, including on-call support.
- Act as the primary customer contact for all production customer systems, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Install, mount, and network connect customer and internal hardware, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
- Work on system O/S and application installation and configuration, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest technologies and best practices.
- Design and implement networking systems, security measures, and connectivity solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Maintain O/S and middleware application patch and security levels, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, collaborating with internal teams to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
- Provide backup support for NOC Technicians and national Operations team, ensuring seamless coverage and minimal disruption to services.
Requirements:
- Bilingual English/French communication skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Certifications in Microsoft technologies, such as MCSE, MCDBA (2000/2003), and CCNA.
- Strong knowledge and experience with SQL, Citrix, and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- IT Diploma from a recognized technical institution or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNA certification.
- SQL 2000 experience.
- Exchange 2000/2003 experience.
