Specialist, After-Market Technical Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist, After-Market Technical Services to join our team at Velan. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to our customers and end-users, ensuring their operations are minimally impacted by technical challenges.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide after-market support and manage technical challenges reported by customers and end-users
  • Collaborate with various groups and teams to provide engineered solutions
  • Create and manage technical files in our after-market database software
  • Virtually support technicians during on-site work
  • Engage with subcontractors for technical files

Requirements:

  • Engineering-related education an asset
  • Experience in technical support and/or customer service
  • Experience in the valve industry is an asset
  • Efficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Good computer skills
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • ERP experience an asset
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
  • Ability to work and learn new concepts autonomously or in a team
  • Ability to respond well to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to manage without formal authority
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Good mechanical/spatial visualization
